This is the month for Valentines tucked in shoe boxes, chocolate-covered everything, and maybe, just maybe, falling in love again. Fall in love again, you might think. I’m too old, too jaded—too married!—for that. But the truth is, you can fall hard (again, and again), whatever your relationship status, simply by strolling the stacks at the Library. No, not for an intriguing fellow Pelhamite, (though stranger things have happened), but for a new-to-you author. And while serendipity is thrilling, sometimes you just need someone with stellar taste to make a strategic intro. The Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library asked our community to tell us their most beLOVEd author—whether recently discovered or long adored—and the suggestions kept on coming. From Jhumpa Lahiri to John LeCarre, you’re bound to catch feelings for one (or a slew) of these talents.
