Pelham Highschooler Matt Michailoff Beautifies Library Grounds
If you’ve been admiring the blooms in our flower beds this summer, we want you to know that they were planted by 15-year old Matt Michailoff, a Pelham resident and incoming 10th grader, as part of a project to earn the status of Eagle Scout. This isn’t the first time Michailoff has been involved with the library—he also participated in Battle of the Books and was part of the winning team that took home the Westchester championship in 2019. “I chose the library [for my project] because I’ve gone there and done programs there for as long as I can remember,” says Michailoff. “I know they provide great services for the community, and I was eager to give back.” Michailoff has been in boy scouts for nine years and still has a few more items to check off his list before he can become Eagle Scout. Keep up the good work Matt and thank you for the gorgeous flower beds!
