Learn About New York’s African Burial Ground with David Mills, Monday February 7, 7 to 8 pm

Author David Mills will be discussing his new poetry collection Boneyarn, about New York’s African Burial Ground. “Whether speaking about or through the voices of nameless servants or chimney sweeps, Mills combines a novelist’s love of character with a poet’s pitch perfect ear for idiom and eye for unforgettable detail,” says critic Alan Shapiro. David Mills is the author of The Sudden Country and The Dream Detective. This program is for teens and adults and a Q & A will follow the reading. This program is presented by the Pelham Public Library in collaboration with the Harrison and Irvington Public Libraries. Please register in advance by clicking here.
