At the Lowell textile mills in Massachusetts, young women recruited off farms worked 70 hours and six days a week under very harsh conditions. When wages were cut, the workers walked out. Join us to learn more about the industrialization of America, and the people who resisted its abuses. Rick Feingold teaches American Business History at Bergen Community College and holds a degree in History from Rutgers University. This program is presented in collaboration with the Harrison, Hendrick Hudson, and Somers Public Libraries. This event takes place on Zoom and registration is required. Please register here.
