Now Hear This! Check Out the Upgrade to Music E-Resource Freegal

The music e-resource Freegal has just substantially upgraded its service, with an entirely new app for Apple and Android devices. (If you have existing credentials, they will still work and your previous downloads will still be there.)

Freegal features 15 million tracks from more than 30,000 music labels; it also includes music videos and audiobooks.

In addition to the new apps, highlights of the redesigned service include an emphasis on curated music, featuring over 100 playlists to meet every mood or whim, with new lists published weekly.

To access the app for this free service and set up an account if you don’t have one, go to the Apple or Android app store, and be prepared with your Library card and PIN, which is usually the last four digits of your phone number. You can also check out the service on your computer by going here.
