Outside Story Time

Mar 29
10:30 am -
11:00 am

Join us for our popular Story Time for infants and toddlers outside on our front lawn. Story Time is designed to enhance early literacy skills and features diverse children’s books in which all children can see themselves represented… plus we have a lot of fun! Please bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Story Time will be held outdoors throughout the year,  but will be cancelled on days when the temperature is extreme, or if it is raining.  Cancellations will be posted on our website at the top of our homepage.  You may also call the Library when we open at 10 a.m. to inquire.

Florine Stettheimer: Icon of Jazz Age New York

Mar 29
6:30 pm -
7:30 pm

Want a fun night out that doesn’t cost anything? Grab a partner or friend and join us for this virtual presentation on Florine Stettheimer. Florine Stettheimer was a keen and opinionated observer of the people and rapidly changing world around her. Her famous salon, attended by New York’s avant-garde during the 1920s through the early ’40s was legendary. The themes in her work, such as race, gender, sexual orientation, and religion, are still very relevant today.

Join us in-person for wine, cheese, and crackers at the Library, as we enjoy a virtual presentation from Janet Cohen Mandel on this pioneering artist.

Not able to join in person? The presentation is available on Zoom from the comfort of your home starting at 7 pm. Click here to register for the Zoom presentation.
