Kusama Collages for AAPI Month
May 01All Day
Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist who is a self-described “obsessional artist,” known for her extensive use of polka dots and for her infinity installations. Her work is based in conceptual art and shows aspects of feminism, minimalism, surrealism, Art Brut, pop art, and abstract expressionism. In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI) month, we welcome you to our community craft table to recreate her aesthetic through collage. Please stop by the Library at any time in May to create your own Kusama Collage. This program is for all ages.
