Cards for Cancer Patient

In celebration of Valentine’s Day or simply as an act of kindness, we invite you to join Pelham Memorial High School students in making cards for cancer patients. The Cancer Support Team, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients and families affected by cancer in southern Westchester, will distribute these cards.

All supplies will be provided. This program is open to adults, teens, and children ages five and up.



English as a Second/Foreign Language (ESL) for Intermediate Students

Join us for a series of ESL classes for adults with Pelham resident, EJ Sepp!

This class is intended for low-intermediate to advanced students who are learning English as a second or foreign language. (No beginners please!)

EJ Sepp has taught ESL for 20 years and is the co-author of English Express New York: A Cultural Reading & Writing Text for English Language Learners. If you would like to purchase this book, you can do so here. There is no obligation to purchase the book in order to attend sessions.

 

These classes are walk-ins that do not require preregistration or attending all sessions.

Winter Safety with the NYC Poison Control Center

 Presented by the NYC Poison Control Center, this virtual program provides basic information about winter products (anti-freeze, snow melt, Holly, carbon monoxide from cars), medicine safety, plants, pets, and carbon monoxide poisoning prevention during the winter months;  Valuable information and safety measures that may save a life.
