Monday Afternoon Movies: The Mighty Ducks

This summer, the Library will feature free family movies with a sports theme every Monday afternoon. This week’s movie, The Mighty Ducks, tells the story of former hockey player Gordon Bombay, played by Emilio Estevez. When Bombay is assigned community service after an arrest, his job is to coach a hockey team, the worst in its peewee hockey league. Though reluctant, he not only teaches the team to play, but redeems himself in the process.
