The Library is Closed for the Week of December 14-20
With the safety of our patrons and staff in mind, the Library is currently closed. We are making this decision following a notification that someone who was in the building on Friday, December 11 has tested positive for COVID-19. We do not believe this person had any contact with patrons in the library. We are working with the Westchester County Department of Health in accordance with the Library’s reopening plan and New York State requirements. We hope to be able to reopen on December 21 for curbside pickup.
While the building is closed, our patrons can visit our digital library and select eBooks and eAudiobooks through OverDrive and Hoopla. Hoopla can also be used to stream movies and music. Movies are also available for streaming on Kanopy. Holds for physical materials and curbside services will be suspended during this time.
If you have materials to return, please put them in the Library’s book drop. All fines accrued while we are closed will be removed from your account once the materials are checked in.
Virtual Library programs will continue and we look forward to seeing you online. Please check our calendar on the Library’s website pelhamlibrary.org for upcoming programs. We also invite you to follow the Library on Facebook, Instagram (@pelhamlibraryny) and Pinterest.
Our staff is always available to help. Our circulation staff can answer questions about your Library account and our librarians are always available to answer reference questions, give book recommendations and provide technology help. We have notaries on staff who are also available to notarize your documents virtually via zoon. Please call the Library at 914-738-1234 and leave a message or email pelhamlibrary@wlsmail.org with any questions.
We look forward to the time when we will be able to welcome patrons back into the building.
