Welcome New Board Member Amie Hughes
Amie Hughes is a communications pro with almost three decades of experience as a journalist, publisher, editor, PR/marketing executive and adjunct college professor of English. Her career has taken her to more than 30 countries around the globe. Amie graduated from Franklin & Marshall College as an English major and received a Master’s in Education from Boston University. She currently serves as a freelance copy editor for Pelham’s own Benchmark Education Company and volunteers for several organizations including the PMHS Amplify Science Research program, St. John’s University’s CHILD Help Partnership, and Heart For Africa. Amie and her husband Matt have three children and have lived in Pelham for 19 years. Amie, an avid reader and frequent Pelham Public Library user, looks forward to serving an organization she’s already passionate about while working with fellow board members to support the library during its next exciting phase of expansion and development.
