Welcome New Board Member Katie Sheehy

Katie moved to Pelham in the summer of 2018 with her husband, Jim, and their four children. She is currently Counsel at PZ Law Group, a boutique Trusts & Estates law firm in NYC. Prior to her current role, she was the founder of the Law Office of Catherine B. Sheehy and was Of Counsel at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn LLP in their nationally recognized Trusts & Estates Group, where she began as a summer associate in 2005. In 2004 she clerked for Honorable Joseph A. McLaughlin, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit. Katie attended Columbia University, where she graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology. She also played Volleyball for the Lions, earning Division 1 Academic All-American Honors her Senior Year, and being named to the CU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018. She then attended Columbia Law School, from which she graduated in 2006. In 2010 she received a Master of Law Taxation Certificate in Estate Planning from NYU Law.

She is thrilled to be able to serve the Pelham Public Library by becoming a Trustee. She is a big fan of borrowing physical books from the library, enjoys audio books on Libby and loves visiting the library with her kids.
